PRINT RECIPE

Special thanks to Debbie Dance Uhrig of The Covered Dish for sharing this Bacon Wrapped Dates recipe with us.
These simple appetizers have brought me a great deal of positive feedback. My good friend and mentor, Sharon Short, from Platte City, Missouri first introduced them to me. They make a very simple opener for an elegant dinner. You will note that extra sauces have been eliminated. If you use a quality bacon like Petit Jean, you won’t need additional sauces. Also, if it’s a black tie affair and guests are in formal wear, a gooey dish means a possible visit to the dry cleaners! (This cook always misses her mouth!)

24 Whole Almonds

1.) Cut bacon strips into halves.
2.) Stuff each date with a whole almond, wrap with bacon and place seam side down on a parchment covered baking sheet.
