I've been enjoying the PJ Christmas Sausages for almost 30 years. One of my great uncles, of German decent used to work for Petit Jean and would get some for our family. I truly love this stuff, and look forward to Christmas when they start producing it. If you have never tried it, Id suggest that you cook it in a pot of water on medium low. Let it cook slowly for 30-40 minutes. This will tighten the skin without having them burst. At this point Im ready to eat, but if you want to grill em, you still want to heat them up in water first and then grill them on medium. Ok, now that Ive told you how to cook it, Ill review it. I have eaten petit Jean products for years.
I was a USDA CSI For over 35 years assigned to this establishment for several. I was always amazed at the cleanliness of this place. The first thing that caught my eye in the formulation of products was high quality ingredients even down to the sugar and salts used not cheap off brands.
